Frequently Asked Questions

Today hospitals face a number of challenges including a difficult economic environment with increased operating pressures.  Many hospitals, including Catholic facilities, are having a tough time accessing needed capital resources to invest in improvements in technology and facilities and ensure the highest quality care.

Ascension Health Care Network, a joint venture between Ascension Health Alliance and Oak Hill Capital Partners, provides an innovative, alternative funding source for the purchase of Catholic hospitals and other provider entities. It offers these entities access to financial resources and operational and clinical expertise.  This will ensure that hospitals have access to capital they need to continue providing the highest quality care while also allowing them to maintain their Catholic identity.
